In Korea, desserts using hardy plants like sweet potatoes and sweet pumpkins are getting popular these days.

Likewise, black sesame desserts are huge, too.

Today, I want to intorduce some places serving tasty black sesame desserts.





1.오피스오브 (Office of)

흑임자 파운드 (Black Sesame Pound Cake)

서울 마포구 연남로 21 ( 21, Yeonnam-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul)



If you live near Hongdae or need to go to near Hongdae, I strongly recommend you to visit this cafe to have this Blace Sesame Pound cake.

Even though I am not that a big fan of Pound cake, this cake really captured my mind.

The cream served with the cake has its own unique flavor.

Make this cake your first trial for Sesame flavored dessert. 





2.카페마온 (Cafe MAON)

흑임자 바스크 치즈케이크 (Black Sesame Basque Cheesecake)

서울 성북구 보문로21길 34 ( 34, Bomun-ro 21-gil, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul)



This cafe is not located in downtown, so it has quite serene mood.

The owner of this place is very welcoming to customers.

The size of the cake can look quite small, but the cake has quite strong flavor of Black sesame.





3.코코로카라 (Kokorokara)

흑임자푸딩 (Black Sesame Pudding)

서울 마포구 월드컵북로8길 17 ( 17, World Cup buk-ro 8-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul)



For me, the place was hard to find. The shop is very small and cute.

There were no seats to sit aroung to have thses desserts when I visited there.

There were various kinds of pudding, and it seemed relatively pricey because the container of pudding looked quite small.

However, it was the food I haven't experienced yet before.
